Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see ghosts? Thomas hadn't. But then he started to have strange dreams when his family moved from New Zealand to England and took up residence in a large Elizabethan house. The move caught Thomas by surprise, and also his parents to be fair. Out of the blue they received a letter from a lawyer telling them an uncle had died and had left them a house. The problem was Thomas' grandfather was supposed to have been an only child so where did this uncle come from? Most would consider a missing uncle interesting enough, but after the move to England Thomas starts to have dreams, strange dreams. One of his dreams leads him to a hidden room. This is weird. But then he meets a boy who keeps appearing in his dreams, and this is even weirder - especially when he can see right through the boy. It seems Thomas has walked into a centuries old family feud. A feud that is very much alive - at least for the ghosts of the family. Peter, the boy, needs Thomas' help to stop a spirit who keeps on causing trouble in the house - but how can you help a ghost? Thomas is about to find out. Thomas' complicated life is made more so when he meets a pretty girl called Freya who, while he is showing her the house, accidentally sees Peter. Thomas thought he was the only one who could see ghosts. How did she manage it? But at least he now has help - and he's going to need it as the spirit, ghostly horsemen, a poltergeist and a jealous long-lost cousin get involved.
